Brooklyn Bishop Lamor Whitehead is back at the center of controversy after an incident involving a woman during his church service was broadcast live. Bishop Whitehead, who chairs Tomorrow’s Leaders International Ministries in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, is setting the record straight and speaking out. As we previously reported, things seemed to heat up between Bishop Whitehead and the unidentified woman before he was seen grabbing the back of her head and escorting her away from her. He took her Instagram live and claimed that the woman tried to attack her family and denies the claims that he strangled her.
The bishop claims the woman was threatening and beginning to charge at his wife, Asia Whitehead, and their eight-month-old daughter. During the concert, he said that he had to keep them out of harm’s way and had more videos to show the whole story. After the incident, a video surfaced of officers talking to Bishop Whitehead and reports began that he was arrested; however, according to TMZ, that is not true. Reports indicate they have yet to book or prosecute him, and it is unclear if he will. Law enforcement sources say that if the bishop hasn’t been arrested by this time of day, he’s unlikely to be called, period.
However, it seems that something happened with the NYPD because Bishop Whitehead called the authorities on Instagram.
He wrote, “Join me live at 10pm tonight! @nypd You can’t lock me up and say, oops, sorry! Stand With Me Tomorrow 9/19/22 Right in front of the 69th Police Precinct at 12 noon 9720 Foster Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11236-2123.” Roommates, what will you think about this?
