American independent distribution stalwart Bleecker Street has announced an exclusive production deal with Canadian distributor levelFILM ahead of the busy Toronto International Film Festival.
The partnership will see levelFILM handle Canadian distribution of the Bleecker Street films, where they will control the North American or worldwide rights.
The partnership will kick off with the Catherine Hardwicke action comedy. mafia mommy starring Toni Collette and Monica Belucci. The film will be released nationwide in 2023.
Bleecker Street’s Kent Sanderson negotiated the production deal with Avy Eschenasy, while John Bain and Dave Hudakoc negotiated on behalf of levelFILM.
The new distribution partners previously collaborated on various titles, including Emma Holly Jones’ Mr. Malcolm’s List;, Sunset starring Tim Roth and Charlotte Gainsbourg; The romance of Mona Fastvold in Venice 2022 the world to come, green kitty The assistent and Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson’s Save yourselves!
Coming soon to Bleecker Street blackboard too includes Frances O’Connor Emily, starring Emma Mackey, who opens the sidebar of the Toronto Platform; by Guy Nattiv Golda, starring Helen Mirren; meg ryan’s what happens next and Alice Troughton The tutor starring Richard E. Grant, Julie Delpy and Daryl McCormack.
THE LEVEL OF CANADA MOVIE has released over 200 titles, with an upcoming list including Lindsay MacKay the jar of oaths and Rob Connolly blue back.
