I saw him coming. the cast of I sell the OC knew that brittany snow Y Tyler Stanland were having issues before their split, a source tells him exclusively us weekly.
“They’ve been known to have issues before, to the extent that no one knows,” the source reveals, noting that the cast “was pretty much in the dark about their personal lives,” but the breakup “wasn’t a complete surprise.”
“They were aware there were issues, it’s just that there’s more to the story than they know,” the source explains.
Stanaland, 33, sparked speculation about a rocky relationship with Snow, 36, when I sell the OC fell in August and the real estate mogul confessed that his co-star kayla cardona she had made a move on him, several times.
“One night, Kayla tried to kiss me. And then another night happened too,” the Laguna Beach native revealed during an episode of the “Reality Life With Kate Casey” podcast last month. “On the show, out of respect for her, I just try to downplay it and brush it off so that…there’s no drama. We can all focus on what we should be doing.”
The former professional surfer noted that he had to “establish some hard lines and some limits” with Cardona, and confirmed that “nothing happened” between them. “It was just… something that, you know, you don’t do to someone who’s married,” he said at the time.
Cardona, however, had a slightly different view of the situation. “I’m not going to flirt with someone if I don’t feel like I’m flirting.[ed] with his back”, he told him exclusively U.S in August. “I was definitely feeling the reciprocity back.”
While the informant says U.S that the Oppenheim Group employee was “flirtatious” during filming, he never crossed the line with his co-stars.
“He has always been appropriate with everyone,” shares the source. “Nobody, as far as I’m concerned, knows that he cheated on Brittany with another girl. That is nothing that has been confirmed. I don’t think he actually cheated.”
Earlier this month, Stanaland opened exclusively to U.S about the awkward moment with Cardona, claiming that Snow was fully aware of what happened.
“She saw it. I mean, she thought she, like everyone else, is entertaining. It’s a lot, but it’s good,” she explained, adding that the two made the decision long ago to “keep our professional lives separate.”
According to the informant, Stanaland probably told the Perfect tone star about the filming but “withheld details” because he didn’t know what the final edit was going to do.
“No one from the cast knows what is going to air and what is going to be edited. He may have left out those intimate details and then her finding out about it from someone else can certainly cause tension,” the source explains, noting that the hair spray the actress could “feel disrespected” if something surprised her.
“That’s why they’re splitting up, to see if this could be salvaged or not,” adds the source.
the almost family alum and Stanaland, who began dating in 2018, tied the knot in March 2020. The duo announced they were calling it quits two years later.
“After time and consideration, Britt and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This decision was made with love and mutual respect,” Stanaland wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, September 14. “We have realized that we need to take some time and make sure that we all live our fullest and most authentic lives. We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but also for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate his support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.”
The Florida native, for her part, posted a similar message via Instagram that same day, with Stanaland’s name changed to hers.
