(Exclusive Details) Memphis woman living with mold and wet floors for over a year forced to stay in a hotel

A Memphis woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, tells the exclusive the shadow room that she was forced to move out of her home after property management “dismissed” her complaints.

The mother-of-one says the Highland Hills apartment complex has been unable to rectify a situation that has caused damage to her apartment due to a neighbor’s pipe burst.

As a result, you have wet floors and mold, making it difficult for you to live comfortably in your apartment.

The anonymous woman says that she is in a hotel but will have a new apartment on Friday. Unfortunately, the leasing office does not cover hotel expenses.

He went on to say that he moved into the complex in “January 2021 and the problems started shortly after.”

At one point, the tenant was without a refrigerator “for three days.” As a result, his food spoiled and the management did not refund the lost items.

It wasn’t until Memphis comedian and businesswoman Latoya Polk helped the young woman resolve the issue that the leasing office contacted her to resolve the issue.

Latoya wrote on Facebook:

Who should my friend call about her apartment? It is severe water damage and they are dragging their feet to fix it. She has a 2-year-old boy who cannot play because the floor is very bad. Walking on the carpet sounds like walking outside in the water. They tell her it’s a broken pipe on top of her, but this is ridiculous!

She also made a number of other posts and people encouraged the young woman to call the police and offered to help in other ways.
