Hunter March Jokes About ‘Nightly Pop’ Cancellation After Surgery – Deadline

Hunter March is reacting to the news that his E! to show night pop has been canceled by the cable network after four years. The TV host found out the late-night show was ending after undergoing spinal surgery.

“This surgery was really hard,” March said on Instagram Stories, setting up her joke right after the surgery. “One thing that kept me going was the idea that I’m getting better so I can go back to my job and make people laugh. night pop because that really means the world to me.”

In a second story, March delivered the finisher flawlessly, adding: “Never mind, I just found out night pop it was cancelled.”

“The funniest part of night pop being joke canceled is that it was not a joke. Those are the best pranks, when they’re real and they’re announced during surgery,” he added.

March would then post the videos on Instagram and shared a message to his fans about night pop ending.

“It’s true, after over 600 episodes, 4 years, 2 work wives, back surgery and too many laughs to count. night pop is coming to an end in [October]”, public. “It has been one of the most satisfying, rewarding and amazing jobs I have ever had and I am grateful to the staff, crew and my co-hosts who made it possible. I’m also grateful to the fans who slipped into bed with us every night, now the bed slip just has to happen in person in the future. I’m kidding! They are painkillers. Not really, I would, with all of you, at the same time, idc. I love you all, thank you.”

The irony of all this is that just one day before it was announced in night pop that March was leaving the show for a couple of weeks due to her surgery. Many viewers thought she was leaving the show for good and her co-hosts Morgan Stewart and Nina Parker clarified that she would only be gone for a couple of weeks, but that she would be back. Without knowing it, the three hosts would find out on Friday, August 26, that night pop It definitely ended in October.

All of the show’s hosts have been receiving messages of support from fans and Stewart took to Twitter to thank her fans.

“Thank you all for the sweetest messages!!!! We love you guys!!!” she tweeted.

In a second tweet, Stewart nodded to E! also canceling their previous show The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills adding: “And on a side note, I’ve had my share of E! Canceling iconic shows early… no news there, going forward and up as usual! We still have some fun shows left for you to enjoy.”
