Days after the intense backlash surrounding his controversial moment at this year’s Emmys surrounding Quinta Brunson, Jimmy Kimmel formally apologized to her on the most recent episode of his show. Inviting her on the show to clear things up, Jimmy Kimmel wasted no apology on Quinta Brunson, telling her that she was “very sorry.”
Quinta Brunson is currently still at the top of its recent emmy award for Outstanding Writing on his hit series ‘Abbott Elementary,’ but many are still upset about Jimmy Kimmel’s behavior during his acceptance speech. Obviously, upon learning of the intense backlash online, Kimmel publicly apologized for his “comedy goofy mouth” that definitely took a wrong turn.
“People said I stole your moment. And maybe I did, and I’m really sorry if I did. I’m sorry made do that, actually. And also, the last thing I would want to do is upset you because I think about you a lot. I think you already know that. I hope you know that,” Jimmy Kimmel told Quinta Brunson in front of his live studio audience.
In response to his apology, Quinta told him, “Well, Jimmy, let me tell you, thank you. It’s very kind of you to say that. Honestly, I was having a good time. Like, I won my first Emmy. I was up there happy and in the moment and just having a good time.”
Meanwhile, Quinta is gearing up for the second season premiere of ‘Abbott Elementary,’ which debuts on ABC on September 21.St..
