I got them! Forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves tauren prince was arrested in Miami this week on a fugitive warrant stemming from a traffic stop in May.
According to authorities, Prince was pulled over in Dallas due to an expired registration, and police reportedly found two guns, a THC vaporizer and a container of marijuana inside the vehicle. Prince was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
After nearly three months, police issued an arrest warrant for the NBA star after test results found the vape contained 1/100th of an ounce of THC. Taurean Prince was detained at Miami International Airport on Thursday night.
Prince’s attorney, Kent Schaffer, issued a statement to PEOPLE saying:
Apparently in the last week and a half they issued an arrest warrant because they recovered 1/100th of an ounce of THC, which is probably the smallest amount you can have.”

The only reason we knew about it was because he was going on vacation out of the country. He was at the airport and his name came up showing there was a warrant for his arrest and they detained him.”
After Tauren’s arrest, Schaffer claimed that the player was the legal owner of the firearms found by authorities, calling the situation “unnecessary and shameful.”
It shouldn’t have been handled the way it was, it’s totally unnecessary and shameful, but we predict this case will be dismissed in due time.”
