‘National Movie Day’ Will Offer $3 Movies at Participating Theaters – Deadline

On September 3, it’s all the movies, all the formats, all day for three dollars.

The Cinema Foundation welcomes moviegoers to celebrate a day at the movies with discounted tickets to kick off National Film Day on Saturday, September 3. The upper limit for entries will be $3 per entry.

The one-day event will take place at more than 3,000 participating locations hosting more than 30,000 screens. There will be exclusive previews and special promotions at the cinema.

The Promotion Celebrates An Unprecedented Summer Of Moviegoers With Movies And A Special Sneak Peek Of Upcoming Titles From A24, Amazon Studios, Disney, Focus Features, Lionsgate, Neon, Paramount, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony, United Artists Releasing, Universal And Warner Bros. ., only on September 3.

“After the unprecedented return to theaters this summer, we wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing,” said Jackie Brenneman, president of the Cinema Foundation. “We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers who made this summer possible and by offering an added incentive for those who haven’t returned yet.”
