PnB Rock tops the Apple music charts with their 2016 hit ‘Selfish’ just days after his passing

Less than a week after he was tragically shot to death while dining at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in Los Angeles, PnB Rock has reached a remarkable musical milestone. According to reports from eagle-eyed fans, PnB Rock shot to the top of the Apple Music charts courtesy of their 2016 hit song ‘Selfish.’

According to recent figures from Chartdata, ‘Selfish’ landed in the number one spot in the list of the best songs of Apple Music. Additionally, the song, featured on his 2016 mixtape ‘GTTM: Goin’ Thru The Motions’, has currently amassed close to 350 million streams on Spotify, easily making it PnB Rock’s most popular song.

As we previously reported, PnB Rock was shot during an armed robbery at South LA Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles on September 12.the. After further investigation, LAPD authorities and local news affiliate FOX LA confirmed that he passed away from his injuries.

An eyewitness at the scene posted video from inside the restaurant showing a man lying in a pool of blood, who was unidentified at the time. The witness further stated that an armed robbery had occurred and that PnB Rock was shot as a result.

An officer who responded to the scene of the shooting recalled the incident during an interview, saying, “The victim was sitting at a table eating with a female witness when the suspect approached her. The suspect then brandished the firearm and demanded ownership of it. We don’t have the audio of what her exact exchange was at that time. The suspect then fired several rounds and then appears to take some property, to what extent, we don’t know.”
