Led primarily by millennials and members of Gen Z, the quiet quit (experts say) is a direct result and extension of last year’s Great Quit, where US workers walked out of their jobs en masse. According to a recent survey by Resume Builder, nearly 25% of workers ages 35-44 said they would probably quit smoking quietly. Heightened by the pandemic, the fight for work-life balance is more important than ever, as many workers no longer want to give their all at work at the expense of their personal lives.
Additionally, the new work trend involves putting physical distance between you and your work, including acts like closing your laptop or leaving your desk immediately when work is done.
