SiriusXM pauses Brett Favre’s NFL show

After being labeled the “wellness queen,” SiriusXM has paused Brette Favre’s NFL show. A company spokesperson confirmed the post but did not provide details.

Brett Favre accused of taking welfare funds to build volleyball facility

As you know, Favre is accused of asking former MS Gov. Phil Bryant and nonprofit leader Nancy New for money to build a volleyball facility at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM).

Reports indicate that Favre received more than $6 million to fund the facilities and speaking arrangements.

Although he has paid back $1 million, the state auditor says he owes more than $200,000 in interest.

John Davis, former executive director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services, pleaded guilty to two federal counts “(wire fraud and committing theft with respect to programs receiving federal loans and one count of theft with respect to programs receiving federal funds).” He will be sentenced on February 3, 2023.

In more news from Favre, ESPN reports that Brette Favre’s organization, Favre 4 Hope, is being accused of giving her alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), $130,000 that was initially for cancer patients.

Reports indicate the school received the donations around the same time as Favre. requested welfare funds from MS State to also build a volleyball facility at USM, where her daughter also attended school.

Favre 4 Hope’s mission is to provide support “for disadvantaged and disabled children and breast cancer patients” and receives donations from donors to help that cause.

Favre 4 Hope Tax Document Details

According to tax reportsthe former NFL player’s organization donated $60,000 to the USM Athletic Foundation in 2018. But other organizations only received $10,000.

ESPN also says documents they saw show Favre 4 Hope donated $46,817 to the USM Athletic Foundation in 2019. Special Olympics Mississippi also received a $11,000 donation.

So far, he has not been charged by the authorities with any crime.
