A hairdresser was determined to get her coins from a dissatisfied customer who refused to pay. It appears that the customer was going for a fake locomotives look. After the stylist completed the service, the client inspected her hair and voiced her displeasure. In a series of customer-recorded videos, the women exchange words about service and payment. Eventually, the stylist threatens to call the police to get the money from her.
In one of the initial videos, the stylist, off-camera, asked the client to explain what she didn’t like about the style. She also reminded the client that she reviewed her work before booking. However, the client responded that the entire style does not match the stylist’s other work.
The stylist also mentioned the client’s hair color as a reason why the style does not look like any example image.
“I’ve had dreadlocks before and I’ve had color, but it’s never that puffy,” the customer replied.
The client requests a refund of his deposit—Stylist refuses
When the barber requested a resolution, the client requested a refund of his deposit. He gave the stylist the option of cutting the “puffy” dreadlocks. But, the businessman was not feeling that.
“If you have a problem paying me, you know you can… go to jail for that right,” the stylist responded.
But the client did not back down. Instead, he went back to explain that he didn’t like the result of the service and that he was okay with letting the stylist do it. The client apparently also revealed that the deposit was 50 percent of the cost of the style.
Things continued to escalate between the two. The stylist told the client that if he wants the locs removed, he means paying a removal fee in addition to the remaining installation fee. After a brief pause, the stylist says, “I’ll call Fulton County,” referring to the local Atlanta police.
The client does not refuse to call the police. Instead, he encouraged the stylist to call the police.
At that point, the disagreement spread from the stylist’s workplace to a parking lot.
Stylist calls police for client from parking lot
Both women were standing in a parking lot while the stylist was on the phone with police. The client, who had been recording most of the interaction, was nearby.
“This woman here has put this mess in my head and now she is calling the police because I don’t want to pay for it and I asked her to remove it,” the customer said, moving the camera to show the stylist. .
In the background, the stylist explained to the police that her client refuses to pay after she provided him with a service. At one point, she accuses the customer of trying to leave the premises without paying and yelling in the parking lot. However, the video also does not show that it is true and the client accuses the stylist of lying to the police.
After making the 911 call, the stylist tells the client “you can go.” But the client insists that he would like to wait for the police to arrive so that he can explain his version.
Once the police arrived, they determined that the customer had to pay the fee.
