Sunny Hostin returns to the view when the show returns on September 6 for season 26. The former prosecutor heads into her sixth season and reflects on what a “huge responsibility” it is to be on ABC’s daytime show.
Ana Navarro shares why ‘The View’ pushes her out of her comfort zone
“This platform cannot be understated or overstated, because not a day goes by that someone doesn’t come up to me and say, thank you for being my voice,” the talk show host said in a video shared by The views official Twitter bill. “It’s a huge responsibility and I take it very seriously because there are very few people who can represent women and I think the most important thing to me is women of color because our voices have been marginalized for so long.”
Hostin continued: “I feel really humbled and honored to be able to provide that perspective. I can do it every day for 3 million people and it’s an honor to be able to do it.”
The author of “Summer on the Bluffs” acknowledges that “she doesn’t always get it right”, but she tries to do it “because I know what I’m saying, it doesn’t just reflect on me, but it reflects on my family and, most importantly, it reflects on a community.”
