Tessa Thompson applied direct pressure with her red carpet looks at this year’s Venice Film Festival, proving that she is one of Hollywood’s hottest fashionistas. Playing with dramatic designs and bold colors, Tessa Thompson represented designers like Elie Saab, Armani Privé and Christopher John Rogers, while turning heads in the process.
Tessa Thompson has had a wide variety of red carpet looks during the 2022 Venice Film Festival, including an all-red monochrome design that appeared to be a couture version of Little Red Riding Hood. The eye-catching red mini dress with voluminous train was from Elie Saab’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection haute couture collection. It also featured a dramatic hood that billowed from the waist to the shoulders. She paired the monochrome look with matching red tights, platform shoes, and a small bag.
It wasn’t over, though, as earlier during the festival she invoked the last days of summer by wearing a neon green floor-length dress that had the paparazzi going wild. The dress, designed by Christopher John Rogers, featured a sleeveless corseted bodice with a long train and an understated bustle. She completed the look with a long, sleek ponytail and headpiece with an attached black veil.
Finally, Tessa Thompson went the vintage route, wearing a Spring/Summer 2009 vintage abstract couture dress from Armani Privé. The contrasting design featured an iridescent silver bustier surrounded by a collection of ruffles that gathered at the waist, while the bottom half was simpler, with an ankle-length black sequin shirt.
She completed that look with classic black Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and edgy accessories, including a silver choker, black cat-eye sunglasses.
At this rate, we can’t wait to see what Tessa will be wearing once awards season kicks off!
