EXCLUSIVE: While fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Duttons in the upcoming season of yellow stoneone of the series’ stars appears to have found her next project to film between seasons, as sources tell Deadline that Kelly Reilly will be joining the ensemble of stars from Miramax and Sony. Here. The film currently stars Tom Hanks, Paul Bettany and Robin Wright with Robert Zemeckis directing.
Eric Roth is adapting the script with Zemeckis’ ImageMovers and Jack Rapke producing along with Miramax’s Bill Block. Sony Pictures will release the film in theaters in the US, with Miramax holding the international rights.
Based on the graphic novel by Richard McGuire, Here it is described as an impressive and revolutionary odyssey through time and memory. The groundbreaking film centers on a single geographic location in New England, beginning as a wilderness and then becoming the site of a home, where a story of love, loss, struggle, hope and legacy unfolds between couples and families for generations.
The project materialized at the beginning of this year, becoming one of the largest packages to hit the market as it would bring together the Forrest Gump team of Hanks, Zemeckis, Wright and Roth; the photo bowed nearly 30 years ago and took home six Oscars, including Best Picture.
Sony would eventually get the distribution rights to Here in May when the film was brought to the Cannes film market.
For Reilly, this project marks a reunion between her and Zemeckis, who cast Reilly in his breakout role in Flight starring Denzel Washington. Her role earned him instant praise and helped launch her career as a leading man. Reilly’s hit TV show yellow stone A record-breaking fourth season is coming and it becomes the highest-rated show on cable. Its fifth season will premiere this November with great expectations.
